Micah had his one month well-visit today. It started out great. Even though we woke Micah up from his nap to strip him down naked to poke and prod him, he was as happy as could be. He patiently waited as the nurse and doctor asked all their questions and checked him out. Unfortunately, he was looking a little yellow, so the doctor wanted to draw blood to check his jaundice. Poor little guy had no idea what was coming. The little baby who had been happily lying on the table for at least 20 minutes, suddenly turned tomato-red and started screaming as the nurse pricked his heel to draw blood. He recovered quickly when she was done, but the torture was not over. He also had to get a vaccine shot!! Poor Micah. He was crying so hard he had little tears on his face. :( He settled down on the car ride home, but when I went to get him out of the car seat, he gave me a very sad, injured look. :( Thank goodness he'll have forgotten all about it in a few hours.
We'll get the results of the jaundice test tomorrow. Other than that, everything looks good. He's in the 75th percentile for height and weight. He's 10 pounds and 22 inches. Here are pictures from today and a month ago, so you can see how much he's grown.
