I've shared with you how Micah's favorite toy is by far a ball. You may remember that he started learning how to play catch at an early age. His latest accomplishment is the bounce pass. He's pretty good at passing, and hit or miss with catching. This video shows his skills, as well as a little silliness.
Also, sometimes he just drops the ball and holds his hand out over it. Scott figured out that he's trying to dribble!

Thank you!
Micah surprised me by signing "thank you"! It was the first time he had ever done it, and it was perfect - one hand to the mouth, then down (almost like blowing a kiss). Here he is thanking Daddy for blueberries (with two hands, because he was extra thankful). [Oh, in case you don't speak Micah-ese, he is saying "more," "please", and "thank you".]
Micah really loves his blueberries. This next clip was taken after he had already eaten his dinner and several servings of blueberries. He paces himself for the first few...then he goes to town!

Oops
I'm pretty good at deciphering what Micah is doing by the sounds he makes. I was in the bedroom when I heard something that I could not identify. Apparently, I forgot to put the child lock back on the cabinet. Fortunately, he didn't pull down anything fragile. He did, however, find half a stick of Crisco that is now redistributed on his clothes and the other jars and boxes.

Washing Hands
You may find this mundane, but Micah has started washing his own hands. I think it's pretty cute! It's even cuter when he and Carter get on the stool together to wash their hands, but that keeps me too busy to hold a video camera. :) My favorite part of this clip is the goofy grin Micah gets while he's rubbing the soap on his hands.

Baking Buddies
This afternoon I was planning to make dirt pudding for a St. Patrick's Day party. The recipe calls for crushed oreos, and I knew just the people to help me crush oreos.

When Carter realized that I was baking, he wanted to get the stool from the bathroom so he could reach the counter and help. Micah, of course, couldn't be left out. It turned out to be a lot of fun and not too messy. Micah was content to hold a spatula and watch while Carter poured in ingredients. Both boys really like watching the mixer.

Birthday at the Zoo
Gramme and Poppa flew in from NH to visit us and celebrate my birthday. We took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather to go to the Akron Zoo. Everything worked out perfectly: the rain stopped when we wanted to go. Micah slept the whole way there so we could stay out longer without him getting tired. There was hardly anyone there, and the temperature was perfect! Happy Birthday to me! :)

All Aboard!
Yesterday's adventure was a trip to the Medina Toy and Train Museum. While it would have been a disappointment for a true train enthusiast, it was just right for a couple of toddlers who like "choo choo's."
There was a working model on display,

a toy room with wooden and Lego trains,

and a doll room with two dollhouses the kids could play with.

The boys had a great time looking at all the different trains on display and playing with the toys (they also looked adorable in their train-themed outfits). :)
