Big Boy Bed

Last night was Micah's first night in his big boy bed! It went very well. We didn't hear any noise from him after we put him into bed, and he called for us when he woke up in the morning. He's very excited about his bed and his new room. Here's what the room looked like when we bought the house (that's the previous owner's stuff in the picture).
Thanks to a lot of help from Gramme, here's what it looks like now.

New Fish

After two years of persistence, Micah is no longer scared of the water! We took him to a local wading pool yesterday, and he had a fantastic time. There was absolutely no fear, even when he fell with his face in the water. Hooray for summer fun!

Parade of Grandparents

This weekend we had a great visit with Scott's parents. The older Micah gets, the less time it takes for him to warm up to visitors. I think he's finally starting to realize that visitors are not a threat; they're more people to pay attention to him and play with him! He was a very happy little boy to have so many people to entertain him. (And I was a very happy mommy to take a break!)

Today the fun continues when we pick my mom up from the airport. She's staying for several days to help me paint the playroom to transform it into Micah's bedroom. Then we'll give the nursery a fresh coat of paint and get it set up for the baby. I'm very excited to get things organized and put away.

Another Week

I have a pocket calendar that Micah and I use to keep track of the events in our week. (Got to use those old teaching supplies somehow.) When I started using it with Carter, Micah paid very little attention to it. But now it really helps him to know what we're doing.

Today Micah was pretending to take a suitcase on a trip. I'm not sure where he went because he told me something different every time I asked. But I do know that he went by truck, bus, and airplane.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great weekend spending family time together. These pictures are from the Tallmadge parade. It was pretty lame, but since Micah has never been to a parade before he didn't have any expectations. :)
