California and Tiny Dancers

Our annual Grove City March Madness reunion looked a little different this year.  Scott and I flew to California to visit Dave and Julia!  My parents flew here to take care of the kids while we were gone.  Despite a stomach bug hitting Gramme for a few days, they easily took care of school, birthday party, runny nose, Jackson, ballet, pancake breakfast, etc.  Matthew and Poppa bonded; Matthew still asks for him at least once a day.
These are the happy faces of people in sunshine with no kids.

A generous family from Dave's church let us use their season tickets to the Warriors game.

"Jazzercise" was the half-time show.  Spectacular.
While none of our other Grove City buddies made it out to California, we at least had face time with the Meyers.

All School Unit and Puddle Jumping

Friday was Micah's All School Unit performance.  This year's theme was stewardship, focusing mostly on taking care of the earth God has given us.  I thought they did a fantastic job (especially considering they missed half of their practices because of the weather!).  The message, the sweet kids, and the wonderful staff just make my heart happy.

Micah's class is the biggest in the school.

the whole school singing

always serious when he's singing

It's sixty degrees today!  I took the kids outside for some puddle jumping.

had to wear his sister's old ladybug boots

love it.

P.S. Hannah is trying out ballet this month!

Warming Up!

Last week we were happy if the temperature was a positive number.  This week we have reached above freezing!  Forty degrees called for a trip to the zoo.  It felt so good to be outside!

Making Me Laugh

Matthew is a constant source of entertainment around here.  For example, he lip syncs to songs that he likes:
(This one is the theme song to one of his favorite shows, "Bubble Guppies".  He calls it "Buppies".  I think all the cool kids will be calling it that soon.)

Eating forkfuls of ketchup:

Always accessorizing:

And pretending to change his own diaper.  He's lying on a disposable place mat.

I think joke-telling is next in his comedic future.  Besides the classics, like putting everything on your head or saying the wrong animal sound, he also likes to say "knock, knock."  For now, saying "knock, knock" is the whole joke, but we're working on it.  :)
