Yesterday Micah did another one of those things that all babies seem to do. He scratched his nose hard enough to draw blood. Oh well. He cried for a minute and then forgot about it. It already looks better today - just a dot in the picture above. The picture below is yet another Craig's List purchase. Micah is a little small for it yet, but he just loves being upright and looking around. We chose this brand because it bounces (which he also loves) and collapses for storage.

Lion Fettish
I think Micah may have an obsession with lions. On Sunday, he fell asleep holding on to a lion. Then later in the day, he pretended he was a lion and tried to eat me.

We really enjoyed the long weekend and beautiful weather. Micah got to take his first family walk to Dairy Queen! He got a little mad when he realized we weren't going to give him any ice cream, though.

Independence
On Micah's playmat there's a yellow stuffed lion which will play songs if you pull on it. We'd play it for him occasionally because he seemed to like the music. Well, no more. Yesterday, Micah figured out how to do it himself! The first time I saw him do it and congratulated him. Then later in the day it would make me chuckle when I was in the other room and heard the music start to play. I wonder how long it will be before I hate those songs....

In the mouth
Micah's favorite pasttime is now putting things in his mouth. Toys, clothes, blankets, Mom's hair...it really doesn't matter. In fact the only thing he likes better than putting his hand in his mouth is......

Micah is still a little under the weather, but he's pretty cheerful about it. Hopefully the humidifier will help clear him up soon.
......putting both hands in his mouth.
Poor bear didn't stand a chance.

No Hands!
Here's Micah and I trying out our new Baby Bjorn carrier. I wanted to have one to use for the airport this summer. It will also be helpful in the fall, when I'll be regularly watching a friend's toddler. They retail for $80 or more, but you know there's no way I would pay that much. I found one on Craig's List for $13! Yay, Craig's List!
Micah has had a little cough yesterday and today. It doesn't really seem to be bothering him, though. He's just sleeping it off.
Micah is getting more coordinated with his hands. Instead of random movements, he is purposefully grabbing things (often, the purpose is to get it closer to his mouth). He loves pulling my sleeve while I'm trying to change his diaper. And if you get your face close enough, he'll grab on to your nose or lips.

Three Months
Mom: So, Micah, how do you feel about being three months old today?

Micah: Three months! You've got to be kidding me! I don't feel a day over two and a half months.

Micah: Am I getting any wrinkles?
Mom: No, honey. You look great.
Micah: Ha ha, I was just kidding. Of course I look great. Why else would you be constantly taking my picture?
Mom: Ah, touche.

Got Milk?
In the last few days, Micah has gone from being a voracious eater to eating very little. He'll eat for a few minutes, then pull away and begin to talk. (If I suggest eating some more, he often screams at me.) I haven't been sure exactly what he's talking about, but I'm pretty sure he's trying to convince me that he should be allowed to have chocolate milk for a change.

Happy Monday
I look forward to the weekends because Scott is home, but I also look forward to the weekdays because they're much more restful. Saturday Micah and I spent several fun hours with some of the teachers I used to work with. I love catching up with them and hearing news about former students. It also made me remember how much hard work teaching can be! I'm even more thankful now that I can stay home with Micah! Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures while I was there. (Maybe Becky or Gwen will email me some? :) )
Today Micah and I are going to stay home, sleep, and relax.
Mmm...delicious thumb...

Still Cuter
I asked the other day if there was anything cuter than a baby in a hat. Well, I think a baby in sunglasses may be pretty close! Nana came to visit yesterday. While she played with Micah, I did some grocery shopping and looked for bargains at Marc's. I think the sunglasses were well worth the 25 cents, don't you?
