Micah's Birthday

Micah's birthday celebration started a week earlier on Scott's birthday.  Since Scott, Micah, Nana, and Papa all have February and March birthdays, they all celebrated together by going to a Cavs/Pacers game.  Nana is a huge Pacers fan, so it was extra special that she got to be with Micah at his first NBA game.

For his birthday this year, Micah decided that he wanted to go skiing with Carter.  Both boys had Friday off from school, so Scott took them skiing in the afternoon, then a fancy dinner at Wendy's before coming home for cake.

I baked the cake, and Micah decorated it to look like a ski resort.  Notice the oreo and candy chair lift.

One of his most exciting gifts was a drone.  He has had a lot of fun learning to fly it!

Another birthday gift was the opportunity to try a snowboard lesson.  He really enjoyed trying something new.

While Micah had his lesson, I worked on teaching Matthew to ski.  (He did one lesson last winter.)  He was able to balance and stay on his feet pretty quickly, but had a difficult time with using a snowplow to stop.  He felt that stopping was unnecessary and continued to have a great time without that particular skill. :)  Here is a clip of him zooming down the bunny hill.

He did not care one bit that he had to wear a pink harness and pink kitty helmet.

Our good friends Sydney and Colton were there, so Hannah was happy to hang out with them while I worked with Matthew.

And here's a clip from a different day of Hannah working her way down the bottom part of a black diamond! (followed by Micah)

Sweet Baby L is still with us and doing well.  She is learning more and more words everyday and doing really well communicating.

More Winter

Hannah entered the school talent show in January and played piano. (link here)

Matthew, Hannah, and I went to a fun family church event.  We went ice skating, played indoor putt-putt, and drank hot cocoa.

Hannah came up with the idea of using hair chalk for a heart braid on Valentine's Day.

I got to help at Hannah's Valentine party at school

COSI, which is a science center in Columbus, brought activities to Micah's school.
