Our family has fallen prey to the stomach bug. Our poor little baby has been sick since Wednesday night. He spent almost all day Thursday and Friday sleeping or being held. I'll spare you the gross details, but he went through five pairs of pajamas on Thursday. He seems to be on the road to recovery - he played for a little while this morning and kept some food down. (A double good thing because we need him to keep taking the antibiotic for his ear infection!)
The bug attacked Scott around 2am this morning. I've never seen him this sick before. :( Please pray for my boys to recover quickly and for me to stay healthy!

Winter Sickies
Micah is getting into scrapbooking...
Micah and Carter have both had colds for a few days (like every other child in America in the winter). Now they both have ear infections. :(
I was not expecting Micah to start talking for a while, but he has a few words that he says consistently. He says "Mama" and "Dada" all the time, but not always in context. He says "ball", usually as he's grabbing a ball, and "hat". He will also occasionally say "more", but only when it gets him more blueberries or crackers.

Peek-a-boo
Micah has had a cold and been pretty grumpy the past few days. He was in a good mood for a while yesterday afternoon, though. Here's a clip of him playing "peek-a-boo" with me.

Finger Painting
We were supposed to have a friend come over today, but she was sick. Instead, Carter and I finger painted!

More Walking
Last night I turned from getting something out of the fridge to see Micah walking across the kitchen towards me! He made two more treks across the kitchen last night, then a lot more short trips today.
Sorry for the lousy camera work...

More Climbing
11 months old today! Can you believe he's going to be one year old in just a few weeks?!
We keep this stool in the bathroom for Carter. Micah never paid attention to it before now.

Playing
Carter and Micah have started using the space behind the glider as a hideout. They also chase each other in circles around and under the chair in the living room.

We went to McDonald's today to run off some energy in the playland. Both boys have grown just since the last time we were there! Carter went down one of the "big kid" slides by himself. Micah got to feed his need to climb by going up the little steps by the baby slide. After a few times, he could go up the steps and down the slide with almost no help! It was a lot of fun for all three of us. :)

Communication
Micah has only mastered one sign in sign language so far. His version of "all done" is to wave his right hand up and down. If you ask him if he's all done, he'll wave his hand and say "yeah." (The other sure sign that he's done is that he throws all his food on the floor while saying "uh-oh.")

Climbing
The last morning that we were in New Hampshire, Micah discovered that he loves to climb. Up until that point, he was content with going up one or two steps. That morning he climbed the four flights of stairs from the basement to the living room. Sadly for him, we have no stairs in our apartment. He's had to fulfill his desire to climb in other ways.

Talking?
For a while now Micah has said "Mama" and "Dada" (sometimes in context; sometimes not). We also think he's saying "ball" and, as you'll see in the video, "uh oh."
