Fall Fun - volume three

On Wednesday we went to Kingsway Pumpkin Farm with Carter, Jackson, and Meghan. For a small admission fee, there were a lot of activities for the boys to enjoy. There was a train ride (that Micah refused to ride), a maze, slides, tunnels, a corn box, and a petting zoo. The weather was beautiful, and the younger siblings were very agreeable in their carriers.

Oh, and there was a pirate ship, too. Nothing says "fall" like a pirate ship...?

Hannah may have slept through most of the morning, but at least she was dressed festively.

Another Baby Girl

I failed to mention our exciting news last week. Natalie Jean joined our family! That takes the cousin count up to 5 girls and Micah. :)

Fall Fun - volume one

Saturday was our ABF's annual fall party. Sometimes we all dress up, but this year the vote was to leave it for the kids. Micah was a lion, and Hannah was a flower.

Gwen and Hannah - a little baby garden

Roy took the kids for a hay ride. Micah was so excited afterward that he kept telling me about it over and over.

More Friends

We hosted a play date yesterday. I had to take a picture to document that ELEVEN children aged four and under were all quietly eating their lunches! (Hannah was number twelve, but she was in her crib at the time. And Avery is in the picture, but all you can see is her little ponytail sticking up behind Carter's head. ha!)

Multi-tasking

How else was I supposed to carry everything up the stairs in one trip?

Friends

We had a bunch of friends over last night to watch the OSU game. (We're not really Buckeye fans, but we are fans of having a good time!)

Daddy and his friends watching the game

Mommy's friends talking and eating

Micah and his friends watching "Curious George"
(there were actually 8 more kids than this; 2 had gone home, 3 were babies, and the other 3 didn't want to sit still to watch tv)

Pumpkin Farm

The kids and I went to a nearby farm in the beautiful weather on Friday. Micah picked out a pumpkin that I'm hoping to carve with him on Monday. Although we did not attempt it, the farm has a huge corn maze. I'm guessing it was sponsored by Pizza Hut...

One Month

Of what does the life of a one-month-old consist?

- Eating: the loudness and frequency of Hannah's burps would indicate that she enjoys eating. Starting last week she also has the occasional bottle.

- Sleeping: Some days it seems like she's asleep all day; some days are just a series of catnaps. The important thing is that she sleeps well at night. Most nights she does a 6-7 hour stretch, nurses, then sleeps about 3 more. One night last week she went 10 hours between feedings!

- Pooping: all systems are go.

Everything else: As you can see in the pictures, baby acne has arrived. According to the books, it should subside in 3-4 weeks. Hannah has started smiling and cooing a little bit. She loves being on her stomach or upright. When she's on her tummy on the couch, the weight of her head makes her roll over to her side or back. Then she gets mad. :)

Naptime

I love my kids all the time, even when they're both screaming. However, when I'm sitting in a quiet house with both kids napping, they seem especially adorable to me. :)
