Superstars

These kids rocked the one-mile race today!  Micah ran by himself.  We really tried to emphasize not starting too fast, and he listened.  He ran the whole thing without stopping and finished just under 9:30.  Hannah also ran the whole thing (with one quick pause for water).  Her little legs and determined face make me so proud.  She was just under 11:30.

Preschool Program

Hannah's first year of preschool is complete.  Next year she will be in a pre-K class that meets three afternoons a week.  Her teacher told me she intentionally put Hannah front and center for their program since Hannah was one of the few kids who knew all the words.  :)  She did great!

A New First!

Micah lost his first tooth!

Taco Tuesday

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, we had "Taco Tuesday" last night.  (And the adults had margaritas after the kids were in bed.)

We also made cookies that look like sombreros for Micah to take to Spanish class at school today.

Last weekend my parents came for a visit.  Their primary reason for coming was to celebrate Grandparents' Day at Micah's school.

Most people think that playing in the leaves is a fall activity.  We saved some of our leaves so we could enjoy it in the spring, too.  ;)

Micah and Hannah are both playing soccer this year.  They had their first games on Saturday.

thanks for the picture, Gramme!

all those tiny little socks and shin guards are just too cute!

I took the younger kids to the zoo today.  The weather was amazing!
