Over the summer we worked on updating Micah's room. The last time we decorated it he was two, so it was about time. Plus, we gave him our old bed, so we needed new bedding anyway. He wanted a sports theme, and he picked out almost everything - wall border, curtains, bedding, and the big decals.

More Firsts
Hannah had her first day of school last week. She is in pre-K three afternoons a week.

That evening she also got to start the Wednesday night programming at church for girls. Her two favorite girl friends are in her group, and she was super excited. (It's technically a kindergarten class, but since she's kindergarten-aged I sweet-talked leadership into letting her join.)
Then the next day was the first gymnastics class! There was only one other girl in the class, and the teacher did a great job of keeping them active the whole time. Hannah was smiling a bunch and obviously enjoying it.

Five!
Hannah turned five yesterday! The three-day-weekend was extra nice for celebrating. On Sunday afternoon, we invited friends to a park for a princess party. I thought it was interesting that Hannah's guest list was half boys and half girls, and a variety of ages. And they proved what great friends they are by spending two hours in the 90 degree heat with us! (You may notice some sweaty, red-faced kids in the pictures.)![]() |

....played lots of games and legos...
...and ended the day with the birthday girl's choice of dinner: corn dogs at O'Charleys and ice cream.
